I confirmed that the USB-C Thunderbolt 3 port on the Precision 5540 works 100% of the time when not using the WD19TB (i.e., plugged in a USB-C keyboard device repeatedly into the port and it works every time), so it seems the issue is specific to the WD19TB I tried updating the drivers through windows, which changed it to USB xHCI Compliant Host Controller, but Ive ended up stuck in the same place with the same errors. It was originally Intel (R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 1.0 (Microsoft). Uninstalling the device driver, removing the USB Ethernet adapter and reconnecting it does nothing. The Device has stopped working (code 34) So it reports a code 34. 'USB 3.0 Extensible Host controller' (with the exlamation mark) reports.
